Over-exposure to the sun, lack of sleep and even unhealthy diet can leave your skin stressed out. If you experience outbreaks or skin inflammation or irritation, treat yourself with homemade face masks prepared with ordinary kitchen or food items such as fruits or vegetables. These masks rejuvenate your stressed out skin, restoring its radiant glow. Three DIY face masks for helping stressed out skin are given;
Strawberry Acne Facial
Strawberry is naturally loaded with salicylic acid, a compound that’s usually found in several acne cleansers and topical medications. If you are dealing with mild acne or experiencing breakouts, use a mask obtained by mixing fresh strawberries and yogurt in equal proportions. Yogurt relieves skin inflammation as well as exacerbated skin while the salicylic acid present in strawberries will lend a hand to open up those clogged pores and destroy acne causing bacteria that trigger breakouts. Let the mask sit for almost 5-8 minutes before rinsing with warm water.
Honey and Oatmeal Facial
If your skin has turned extra dry and flaky this summer, treat it with a honey-oatmeal moisturizing face mask. Combine 2 tbsp. honey, 3 egg whites and one tbsp. oatmeal together and blend well to get a thick, moisture-infusing paste. Apply the mask allover your face and neck and leave it as it is for about ten minutes. Once the set time is over, rinse with tepid water or remove with a slightly warm towel. Tone and moisturize your skin, finally, to seal in the upshots of the mask.
Avocado and Carrot Cleansing Facial
If your skin is looking a bit reddish and less radiant, create a rich cleansing face mask that’ll clean your pores and bring that healthy glow back. Avocados have moisturizing properties and can really help dry, parched skin. Carrots are rich in vitamin C and can help restoring radiant and glowing skin. Simply boil a medium-size carrot and once it is soft, mash it with a few ripe avocados. Add one tbsp of coconut or olive oil to the mixture and stir well. Apply the mask to your skin for almost twenty minutes and finally wash off with lukewarm water. Follow it up with a toner and your standard moisturizer.
